Miami Homes for All and The Health Foundation of South Florida brought together stakeholders from across South Florida in the spirit of working collaboratively toward a shared goal of equity in health and housing for our diverse and dynamic community – “the least affordable city in the nation.”
As we heard from David Erickson, of the New York Federal Reserve Bank, catalyzing solutions to address the lack of affordable, healthy housing in Miami will require “new ideas, new resources and new partnerships…and the sinew of new partnerships is finance…and financial innovation.”
We are grateful to Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava for her ongoing support as well as all of our amazing presenters and panelists for sharing their valuable insight and Ron Book for his tireless dedication to the cause and his inspiring vision:
“To end homelessness in our community, we need three things: A plan, money and leadership. I’m energized because the end of homelessness in Miami-Dade County is in sight. And I won’t quit this effort until we’re done.”
We want to thank everyone who attended and participated in our inaugural Miami Housing and Health Summit – convened to inspire new conversations and collaborations that will lead to healthy housing solutions for Miami-Dade County’s most vulnerable residents.
