Activating Anchor Institutions to Build Thriving Communities in South Florida

Health Foundation of South Florida, Citi Foundation and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta held a dynamic convening that enabled attendees to explore opportunities for place-based institutions to utilize their procurement systems, employment pipelines and community investments/community benefit activities to improve economic inclusion in South Florida and support their own institutional goals and priorities.

With the conference room at capacity, the enthusiasm was overflowing from the attendees representing higher education, health care, government, community/economic development, finance and philanthropy.  We now have our marching orders, “Let’s get going”.
