Nursing Scholarships

2001 to present

Supporting nursing scholarships is one “best practice” strategy to strengthen the capacity of the local health care workforce and address the nursing shortage. Health Foundation of South Florida has a history of providing nursing scholarships and currently funds nursing scholarships at Miami -Dade College, Broward College and Florida International University. Scholarship recipients are required to follow a local work requirement post graduation to increase the local nursing workforce capacity. Scholarships make many students’ professional dreams a reality and help to ensure South Floridians have access to quality health care.
