Grantee Recognition Luncheon

2014 Grantee Luncheon

“We don’t accomplish anything in this world alone. Whatever happens is the result
of the whole tapestry of one’s life and all of the weavings of individual threads
from one to another that creates something."

On May 14, more than 500 took part in a key time in the history of improving health in South Florida. Health Foundation of South Florida held its 20th anniversary and grantee recognition luncheon to celebrate the partnerships, programs and policies that promote health for all South Floridians.

At the luncheon, Health Foundation recognized 20 nonprofit organizations who were awarded grants totaling          $1,165,370 million during the Foundation’s December and May grant cycles. The grantees partner with the Foundation to address community health needs, including increasing access to quality, primary health services, oral health care, breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings and creating pathways to physical activity and nutritious foods.

The grantees, Health Foundation Board members, special emcee Laurie Jennings, as well as all of guests at the event, share a vision for a South Florida that shines in its ability to improve the health and quality of life for all residents. Together, we make a healthy impact…. and take great photos! Here are a few from the 2013 Anniversary and Grantee Recognition Luncheon.
