|Advancing the health status of residents
in Broward, Miami-Dade & Monroe Counties
Health Foundation of South Florida's responsive grants program reflects our commitment to making a measurable and sustainable impact in the health status of residents in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. Responsive grants center on four Priority Areas:
• Primary Care
• Behavioral Health
• Healthy Eating Active Communities
• Other Community Health Needs
These Priority Areas receive 80% of our annual responsive grant making funds. The remainder of the annual budget supports a broad range of other community health needs.
Each Priority Area has a goal and grant making strategies for reaching that goal. In addition, each strategy has focal points. The Priority Areas and their related strategies and focal points were developed based on research of best practices; identification and analysis of key health indicators and areas of emerging or persistent needs in South Florida, and input from community partners and stakeholders.
Although we welcome grant proposals for projects that align with a strategy within a Priority Area, projects that address a focal point will take precedence over those that do not.
