HEALTH FOUNDATION AWARDS MORE THAN A HALF MILLION DOLLARS TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS

Grants will support health services projected to reach nearly 73,000 residents

MIAMI, FL- Health Foundation of South Florida’s Board of Directors approved $650,000 for grants focused on increasing access to quality, primary health care; healthy lifestyles promotion; preventive health-measures and oral health. The grants, which typically range from $30,000 to $100,000, were awarded to 14 nonprofit health-related organizations in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. The combined impact of the funding is expected to reach and improve health for 73,000 residents.

HEALTH FOUNDATION OF SOUTH FLORIDA ANNOUNCES NEW FUNDING CYCLE
MIAMI, FL- Health Foundation of South Florida invites Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe County nonprofit organizations to submit preliminary proposals for grants supporting programs to improve the health status of residents. The Foundation’s priority areas include: Healthy Lifestyles; Oral Health; Preventive Health Measures and
Primary Care.

To apply for a Health Foundation grant, please complete and submit an electronic preliminary proposal form to the Foundation by Friday, August 14. The form is available on the Foundation’s Web site: www.hfsf.org. If selected, a letter of invitation to submit a full proposal will be sent by Thursday, August 27. Full proposals will be due by Friday, September 25.

HEALTH FOUNDATION OF SOUTH FLORIDA SEEKS HELP IN AWARDING $90,000 TO PEOPLE WHO MAKE A HEALTHY DIFFERENCE IN THE COMMUNITY

MIAMI, FL- -Health Foundation of South Florida is seeking candidates for the annual Concern Awards, and is inviting local residents to nominate everyday people who are making a healthy difference in the lives of others. Two winners will each receive a $25,000 grant while four runners-up will each be given a $10,000 grant for the health-related nonprofit organizations of their choice in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. HEALTH FOUNDATION AWARDS OVER 3 MILLION DOLLARS IN GRANTS TO IMPROVE HEALTH FOR THOUSANDS OF LOCAL RESIDENTS

MIAMI, FL- Health Foundation of South Florida announced awards from $40,000 to $400,000 to 15 nonprofit health organizations in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. The awards, which totals just over $3 million, were made to grantees during the recent grant cycle. MIAMI, FL- Health Foundation of South Florida recently honored six individuals for efforts to enhance the health and well being of our community at the sixth annual Concern Awards luncheon.
